Torchwood Season 2 Episode Guide

Torchwood – Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang Ep 1/13 The second series of Torchwood, the award-winning drama created by Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies, premières on BBC Two. This time it's bigger and bolder, with more fun, adventure and excitement for the alien-fighting team. John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness, Eve Myles as Gwen, Burn Gorman as Owen, Naoko Mori as Toshiko and Gareth David-Lloyd as Ianto return as the investigators delving into the alien underworld of modern-day Cardiff. In the first episode of the series, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, by co-producer and lead writer Chris Chibnall, Captain Jack is reunited with the Torchwood team as they face a rogue Time Agent. The mysterious Captain John Hart, played by James Marsters (Buffy The Vampire Slayer), is determined to wreak havoc, and needs to find something hidden on Earth. But with Gwen's life in danger, and cluster bombs scattered across the city, whose side is Jack on? It's a comedy adventure and is immediately engaging, especially when a giant driving blowfish (that dies violently) turns up to add some much needed Hitchhikers Guide style elements to the series. It's been several months since End of Days and, after being missing for all that time, Captain Jack Harkness finally turns up. Gwen and Rys are engaged. Owen has got over his obsession with the airforce pilot and other members of the team have dealt with their anxieties. The rift is more unpredictable than ever and opening it several months ago really didn't do anyone any favours. Captain John a sociopath, and one of Jack's Exes, steps through the rift from the future with a message for Captain Jack. Jack comes back suddenly, without a word as to where he's been, and finds that Gwen has been acting team leader for awhile while he was away. Tosh saves the day with the help of Ianto and his stopwatch. Torchwood – Sleeper Ep 2/13 When a burglary turns into a slaughter, Torchwood suspect alien involvement, as the award-winning drama created by Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies continues. Who is Beth, and can she be as innocent as she seems? However, when the investigation escalates into a city-wide assault, Captain Jack realises that the whole planet is in danger. Torchwood – To The Last Man Ep 3/13 Toshiko falls for a handsome soldier trapped out of his time, who unwittingly holds the key to saving the world, in this week's instalment of the award-winning drama created by Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies. With an old hospital haunted by ghosts from 1918, a crisis foreseen by Torchwood 90 years ago is about to reach its climax. Time zones are colliding, but, with life-and-death decisions to be made, will Torchwood be able to stop an explosive end for the city of Cardiff? Torchwood - Meat Ep 4/13
Gwen's fiancé, Rhys, discovers the truth about Torchwood and becomes part of the team as they investigate a mysterious alien-meat supply, in this week's instalment of the award-winning drama created by Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies. With Rhys in increasing danger, Gwen is under pressure as never before. Will Rhys go too far? Will Captain Jack ask too much of him? And can Torchwood save the alien from being used as cheap meat?
Torchwood - Adam Ep 5/13
An alien with the power to change memories infiltrates Torchwood, in this week's instalment of Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies's award-winning drama. It's up to the team to save themselves before it's too late. With Captain Jack caught up in memories of his lost family, and Gwen struggling to remember Rhys, it takes Jack's love of Ianto to reveal the truth. But there's always a price to pay.
Torchwood - Reset Ep 6/13
Captain Jack calls in Martha Jones to investigate mysterious deaths, as Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies's award-winning drama continues. When the trail leads to a sinister medical-testing centre, Martha must go undercover. But has Torchwood underestimated how far the testing centre will go to find medical breakthroughs? And how safe are the members of Torchwood?
Torchwood - Dead Man Walking Ep 7/13 The Torchwood team are in deep shock and must face their darkest hour, as Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies's award-winning drama continues. In an effort to put things right, however, Captain Jack Harkness unleashes a primal force that uses Torchwood as a conduit to wreck havoc across Earth – aided by the Weevils and their newly-appointed King.
Torchwood – A Day In The Death Ep 8/13
A victim of his new-found circumstances, Owen Harper believes he needs absolution, as Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies's award-winning drama continues. Will the lonely girl on the rooftop help him, or will it be a mission to retrieve an alien device that is proving more lethal by the second? And how far will Toshiko go to help him?
Torchwood – Something Borrowed Ep 9/13
The night before her wedding, Gwen is juggling work with her hen night, but an encounter with an alien shapeshifter leaves her carrying more than she bargained for, as Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies's award-winning drama continues. As everyone gathers for the ceremony, Jack must destroy her big day, unless one of the three mothers present finds a means to stop him.
